Its teams works on new supplier sourcing which respects the Social Ethics strategy of the Auchan Group, on new products which correspond to recognised quality standards, and on providing an irreproachable delivery of goods.

It has buying offices throughout the world whose mission is to detect new tendencies and fashions.

The Sourcing Team :
looks for new products worldwide and is enlarging the sourcing areas. They are establishing commercial partnerships with the best local suppliers.

The Commercial Team :
identifies customers' needs and proposes commercial concepts with attractive prices. Together with suppliers and sourcing offices, they organise international collections in order to show innovative products.

The Supply Chain and Quality Teams :
intervene after customer order validations by assuring order feasibility. They check product conformity (quality control, norms and respect of international regulations) and ensure that goods are delivered on time (document management for customs clearance, transport organisation, etc).

The Working Together Agreement :
is a commercial agreement signed with each vendor worldwide. The signature of the WTA with Vendors is the first step towards listing a new Vendor with the Auchan Import Export organisation and the beginning of a commercial relationship between the two parties.

Social Ethics :
"Auchan' commitment to ethical commerce" ensures that the products bought have been manufactured under conditions which respect the rights of employees. Auchan works with suppliers who have committed to follow Auchan's "Code of Business Ethics" (child labour is unacceptable, forced labour will not be tolerated, all types of discrimination are unacceptable, etc.)
